At Christ Church we all SHINE!
Here at Christ Church First school, we are delighted to share some wonderful news about our recent fundraising efforts. Our school has been bustling with activity as we've come together to support 'Shine', a charity close to our hearts that assists families and individuals affected by spina bifida.
We kicked off our campaign with two insightful assemblies, where our children learned about spina bifida and the vital work Shine does. It was particularly meaningful for us as an inclusive school, with Harley from Sapphire class and his family inspiring us to raise awareness.
The highlight of our fundraising was undoubtedly Friday's 'Yellow Day'. Our school was awash with sunshine as children donned their brightest yellow outfits. The day culminated in a treat for all – a selection of sweet goodies to reward everyone's efforts. Regan from Topaz class, Harley's brother, couldn't contain his excitement, exclaiming, "We raised so much money, and had lovely sweet treats - I had a donut it was delicious."
We are thrilled to announce that thanks to your generosity and the generosity of the wider community, we raised an impressive £200 for Shine. This achievement reflects our community's compassion and commitment to making a difference.
